DMX Raps For Reporters Following Hearing

DMX used a court appearance earlier today to promote his new album, according to the Associated Press.

The rapper, known for songs like “Party Up (Up In Here),” rapped for reporters following a hearing, where the star faced felony theft and identity theft charges.

“If you ever fall down, get back up,” the AP reported the rapper as saying.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, gave the name “Troy Jones” to a Scottsdale hospital in April, authorities have claimed. He also is accused of having given the hospital a false Social Security number to skip paying medical bills totaling $7,500.

Today’s hearing is the latest brush with the law for the star.
