“Dirt” may be history, but Courteney Cox has a new role on the horizon.
The former “Friends” star has signed up to join the cast of “Scrubs” for several episodes next season.
A source told Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello that the actress will appear in three episodes of the hit comedy.
Cox will play the new Chief of Medicine at “Scrub’s” fictional Sacred Heart hospital.
Cox’s character will “ruffle feathers,” a source told Ausiello.
Previous guest stars on “Scrubs” have included Heather Graham and Tara Reid.
