Charlie Sheen’s Wife Hospitalized With Premature Contractions

Charlie Sheen's pregnant wife, Brooke, was taken to the hospital on Tuesday, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to People, which broke the news, Brooke, who is pregnant with twins, was hospitalized with premature contractions on Tuesday.

"Brooke is at a Los Angeles-area hospital, where she was admitted yesterday morning with premature contractions – which is not all that uncommon for someone at this stage of pregnancy, especially with twins," publicist Stan Rosenfield told People. "She's fine and is expected to be discharged from the hospital today."

While it was unclear Wednesday evening if she had been released, husband Charlie left the NBC set after taping an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" earlier in the afternoon. He left after recording the segment he was featured in.

In related news, Access Hollywood has learned a baby shower will be held for Brooke, who is due in April, this coming weekend.
