He’s already been to the Moon – now he’s setting a course for the movies.
Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin told reporters on Thursday at the New York premiere of the animated film “Fly Me to the Moon,” on which he did voice work, that he’s in talks for a film about life after his lunar landing, People reported. Aldrin was the second man to set foot on the Moon after Neil Armstrong in the 1969 Apollo 11 mission.
The film would follow his triumphs and troubles following the flight, including his romance with wife of 20 years, Lois. And the astronaut already has an actress picked out for the role: Reese Witherspoon.

“Lois likes Reese Witherspoon because she played a similar part in ‘Walk The Line,’” he said.
Witherspoon won an Oscar for the biopic in her role as June Carter, the wife and duet partner of embattled country singer Johnny Cash, who beats drug addiction with her help. Aldrin admitted to suffering from similar problems, though he said he was “already straight” by the time he met his wife.
