Beau-Beating “Real Housewife” Cops a Plea

If you ever happen to be in the apartment of Kelly Bensimon and she asks you to leave, you better run or she'll do "whatever it takes" to get you out.

"The Real Housewives of New York City" star accepted a plea deal yesterday to charges she beat her youthful beau in March. Bensimon didn't have to plead guilty to the allegations as part of the deal, but the 6-foot model did admit she socked her 10-years-younger man.

And she was hardly remorseful for the assault.

"I learned that if a man is in your apartment and he won't leave, that you should absolutely do whatever it takes," Bensimon, 40, said.

Under the terms of the deal, Bensimon gets the assault charge against her dropped if she doesn't wreak any more legal havoc for a year. She's also got to serve two days of community service, according to The New York Post. The brunette appears quite happy with her deal.

"I'm very pleased. Justice was served," Bensimon said after confessing to the assault against Nick Stefanov.

Rumors have swirled that Bensimon and Stefanov got engaged before she busted his face and that he acted as a surrogate father to her two children, but the not-so-desperate TV wife says reports of their romance is a load of bull.

"We don't have a relationship. He was someone in my home who wouldn't leave," Bensimon said, according to the Post.

Months ago, Stefanov said Bensimon beat him because the pressure of being on a reality TV show made her snap. He also said he still loved her.

Bensimon is still allowed to have contact with Stefanov under the terms of her deal, but if she beats up on him again in the next year she'll face much harsher punishments because of a yearlong order of protection the judge imposed.

Denying fault in the March assault, Bensimon said she was happy to put the incident behind her and rejected speculation that the whole thing was a charade to garner publicity.

"I don't need attention," she said.

The former model, who was married to photographer Gilles Bensimon until 2006, has been featured in Elle, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar, and written columns in several magazines.
