Are The Stars Of ‘90210' Too Skinny?

Are the stars of the new “90210” too thin for TV? That’s the question being asked by some, according to a new cover story in Us Weekly.

Jessica Stroup, the 21-year-old who plays Erin Silver on the show, reportedly weighs 100 pounds, the magazine claims, while her co-star, 18-year-old Shenae Grimes, may weigh just 90 pounds.

And the girls’ small frames are reportedly a concern of their male co-stars.

“I heard some of the boys on the show are going to sit down with the girls and talk to them,” a show source told Us. “The girls were all skinny when they started, but they’re definitely thinner now.”

According to another source on set, the wardrobe sizes for the girls are between size 00 and size 2. By contrast, on the original “90210” set, 5’5” Jennie Garth wore a size 5, while 5’1” Gabrielle Carteris was a size 6.

Reportedly, there is a vast amount of food on set from caterers, including buffet style meals and snacks. But another set source said the girls don’t partake.

“I’ve never seen Jessica or Shenae eat,” a source reportedly told the magazine. “It’s not good. If they look that skinny on television, just imagine how they look in person.”

But co-star AnnaLynne McCord, who plays Naomi Clark, said eating isn’t always in plain sight.

“We eat in each other’s trailers,” she told Us. “I’ve seen them enjoy pork chops and mashed potatoes, just like me. I don’t know.”

However, “90210” producers are reportedly worried.

“They want the girls to gain weight,” another source told the magazine. “They are really worried about them, especially Jessica. They are trying way too hard to be skinny and it’s started to wear on them. It’s just not healthy.”
