Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini brought out the bling especially for Mary J. Blige, creating the Gucci for FFAWN Twirl Watch. On September 16, the Gucci Fifth Avenue flagship will be donating a percentage of proceeds to Mary J's charity (Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now).
The sleek PVD cuff watch comes embossed with the signature GG logo and black diamonds trimming the case. The face swivels to interchange between timepiece and bracelet and "Gucci for FFAWN" is etched into the side. Blige founded the charity with marketing man Steve Stoute to benefit disadvantaged women by helping them gain confidence and self-esteem - basically what she herself embodies. The watch, too, is bold like Mary J, and thankfully from a fashion perspective, is far from neon rubber.
