We're Loving: Alexis Bittar's Unique Archive Pieces

Alexis Bittar creates breathtaking baubles in ephemeral, shadowy Lucite and with cheeky undertones in precious metals, but who knew the website was equally eye-catching? We found incredible archive pieces, gift guides, and a blog, in addition to the excellent jewelry.

The New York City kid-turned-jewelry designer shows off a quick timeline bio (he spent part of the '80s as a fledgling photographer, cool), giving meaning to the personality behind the pop-art pages and range of characters portrayed for the gift guide.  So if you've got a Yummy Mummy, Lady Who Lunches, Hippie Chic chick or Victorian Rocker in your life, Alexis Bittar will direct you to the right gifts for them, or create your own wish list.  Plus, the easily navigable sight showcases the breath-takingly gorgeous collections: Archive, Lucite, Elements and Miss Havisham, beautifully. It's the archive pieces, however, that made our hearts stop -- particularly the richly-hued lucite pieces with studs and ornate clasps.

Now if only we could work on scoring some of these breathtaking pieces (the Lucite bangles are a particular favorite, hint hint)...

Alexis Bittar is located at 353 Bleecker Street.
