New director Tom Ford's A Single Man received three Golden Globe nominations yesterday, Colin Firth for best actor, Julianne Moore for best actress, plus one for the score. Expect Moore in Ford on the red carpet January 17.
Delving deeper than the film's slicky stylized graphics, the leading couple in Ford's debut film earned the critcs' attention for good reason. At once unassuming and profound, the film looks good and reads well.
