Yigal Azrouel to Launch Cut 25 Contemporary Line

Yigal Azrouel will launch a lower-priced, younger capsule collection called Cut 25 for fall.

Translating his powers of draping and tailoring to a new line, Azrouel told WWD he aimed to put out something a little rougher for the downtown city girl, including, ultimately, her own store.

To start, Saks, Bergdorf and Intermix will carry Cut 25, which wholesales between $53-$365 (as opposed to his regular collection's range of $145-$900). The collection includes tailored blazers with leather detailing, bodycon dresses, a military-inspired vest, draped T-shirt dresses and - our new personal favorite item of clothing - sequin pants.

By next year, Azrouel and his business partner Donata Minelli Yirmiyahu hope to open a dedicated Cut 25 store.

Since 25 is Azrouel's lucky number (and Cut just a word he likes), we have high hopes for their big plans.
