We're Loving: Charlott Vasberg's Shrinking Satchel

Swedish-born designer Charlott Vasberg's first love may be ready-to-wear, but we'd prefer she stick to making handbags we can't possibly live without.

We're unhealthily obsessed with Vasberg's Cross Body Zip Bag because it suits our long-term initiative to shrink our unwieldy handbag burden--plus, the bag literally shrinks.  A wrap-around zipper takes the body from a nice medium-sized 10 by 7 inches to a mere 4.  You probably won't be able to pack more than a pack of gum and some lip gloss, but isn't that all we really need, anyway?

Vasberg founded her leather accessories company in 2004, immediately after graduating from Central St. Martin's with an MA in womenswear. Shortly thereafter, her first range of luxury handbags was bought in an exclusive deal with premiere London retailer, Selfridges. Only four short seasons later, brand devotees can find Vasberg's handbags all over the world -- locals will recognize her work on the shelves at Bird, Barneys, and Atrium.

The Cross Body Zip Bag is exclusive to lagarconne.com.
