Urban's Wedding Concept, Vera Wang's David's Bridal Line Both Set to Launch in February

2011 may be the year of the wedding in fashion, with two major new bridal offerings looking to debut next month.

First is the much-anticipated unveiling of Vera Wang's new bridal collection for David's Bridal, called White, which will hit stores and online February 11. The entire collection can now be viewed on David's Bridal's website, and reflects Wang's feminine, ultra-sophisticated aesthetic. The gowns have exquisite layers of tulle and ruffle details, as well as crystal-accented belts, all priced within a range of $600-$1400.

Next up: Urban Outfitters' Inc.'s new retail concept, BLDHN, will be unveiled online on Valentine's Day, and is clearly riffing on its main rival in the bridal market, J.Crew, in planning to offer a shopping experience that includes wedding gowns, party dresses, and accessories. The collection's aesthetic will take its cues from the company's Anthropologie line, for the most part, with a focus on "heritage" gowns, according to a press release. In addition to the in-house line, the new store will feature exclusive dresses by designers like Tracy Reese and and Fleur Wood, as well as accessories from Yestadt Millinery, Erickson Beamon, and others.
