Tyra Banks Almost Quit “America's Next Top Model”

Fans of "America's Next Top Model" can rejoice that the revamped reality show will return for a 19th season on August 24, but little did we know how close the show came to losing its anchoring supermodel diva, Tyra Banks.

“I’ve thought about turning the reigns [sic] over,” Banks said in an interview with The Post. “I had to be reminded that [the show] is my baby. A few years ago, I was willing to give my baby up for adoption!”

Of course, instead of exiting from the production herself, Banks axed longtime ANTM judges Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander in favor of new hires Kelly Cutrone, Rob Evans and Bryanboy.

And in case you were worried that Banks might find herself teetering on the brink of resignation again, the 38-year-old model has hired an "executive coach" to help her manage the stress of her reality TV empire, The Post reports.
