Fans of Tokio 7's expertly curated consignment will rejoice at the news that the East Village standby will be expanding into new digs right down the street.
Both Vanishing New York and EV Grieve had been watching the new empty space at 83 East 7th Street with some trepidation -- fearing it'd be yet another ramen hotspot or frat bar. But Vanishing New York spotted a sign at Tokio 7's current location today announcing the store will be closing down March 9th to ready their stock for the big move down the street. The new digs sounds like a serious upgrade and a promising sign for one of our favorite purveyors of designer consignment. Maybe this recession is actually helping certain stores.
