Subway Street Style: Cyd at the Lorimer Stop

We were staking out the Lorimer L-train platform, a veritable runway at the fashionable commuting hour of 10 am, when a flash of fuschia came flying down the steps. Once Cyd Mullen stopped to tell us what she was wearing, we realized she had every reason to be well-outfitted -- and hurried.

The magenta and woven Navajo jacket that caught our eye (especially with lipstick to match) and the soft oversized jean jacket she layered over it came from her boyfriend Neal Mello's vintage clothing store on Grand Street in South Williamsburg. She said she had raided the shop for something to wear for a meeting that morning at Vogue on behalf of her boss, jewelry designer Pamela Love. She was en route to show editors the new collection, hence her layered silver necklaces and rings. We hope the meeting with the magazine went well -- she certainly sold us.
