After collaborating on a travel bag for Virgin V Australia Airlines, designer Steven Alan has clearly caught the handbag bug, and has designed a capsule collection of handbags under his own label for fall.
The line consists of six styles retailing between $328-$565, and will be available this fall at Alan's stores in New York and California, as well as Barneys Co-op and Net-a-Porter. Like his clothing, the bags -- which rang from hobos to satchels and shoulder bags -- are Alan's take on the classics, spicing them up with a little edge and an equestrian spirit in brass hardware and bridled leather. Given this initial teaser sketch and Alan's penchant for classically chic apparel, we have a feeling come fall we'll be hoping this is one capsule that becomes a more permanent addition to the collection.
