Many a well-dressed man can agree with Jeff Halmos, who told WWD: “It’s so hard to find shoes that aren’t too dressy or too pointy or cost a thousand dollars."
Luckily, Halmos is one-half of the design duo Shipley & Halmos, whose popular, laid-back chic line is expanding to include footwear and formalwear for fall, WWD reports.
Two boots—the Raymond lace-up military style and Jack side-zip—and the Lucien Oxford will be introduced this summer in stores, as well as on the brand's revamped website, along with the full men's and women's collections for the first time. The shoes will retail between an equally cool $325-$495.
The boys aren't stopping there—in follow-up to the first Shipley & Halmos tuxedo introduced this spring, a blazer, pant, shirt and tie will debut exclusively at Barneys this fall, between $80-$625. “We didn’t want it to look like a costume. It’s a very simple design, with a really nice, high-twist wool — but it’s not shiny, there’s no bib or French cuffs on the shirt and it’s not meant to be worn with a cummerbund or vest. All that of that seems old-fashioned and fussy to us,” said Halmos.
