French accessories house Roger Vivier (known for introducing us to the stilleto heel) will launch Rendez-Vous, a new capsule collection which walks the line between the brand's couture offerings and its primary collection.
Rendez-Vous represents a new division for the brand's bags and shoes, making its handcrafted sensibility a tad more inclusive and more contemporary, albeit no less opulent in its detailing.
What creative director Bruno Frisoni described to WWD as "industrializing atelier craftsmanship" results in fun touches like sequin-laden chainmail and mixed mediums like wood on leather, rooted in the precision of couture.
The pieces will make their debut in Vivier stores in January 2011.
