Head out to Red Hook this Saturday for the biggest stoop sale ever, wherein 29 sidewalk locations will open up to shill wares from clothing to church pews.
Red Hook resident Stephanie Silhavy faced a house full of clutter like the rest of us, but looked beyond eBay and her own measly tag sale to organize nearly 30 neighboring families to join her in the neighborhood mega-sale-slash-block-party. The neighborhood's already something of a tucked-away gem (even for Brooklyn residents, it's most easily accessed by bike in the summer, or the ever-trusty B61 bus), so the sale will do a lot towards bringing out-of-area shoppers and brunchers to the block as well.
