The new Jean Paul Gaultier line was just the beginning of Target's spring collabs. We anticipate a huge turn-out for the mass retailer's collaboration with Liberty of London, which will hit Target's stores and website this Sunday. Best of all, Target has planned a pop-up -- similar to the one the brand did for Rodarte around the holidays -- in midtown starting today, where die-hards can get exclusive first dibs on the new Liberty merch.
The colorful pop-up, according to the press release, promises a "brilliant immersive experience," complete with digital projections and "floral elements" that will converge to create a kind of indoor garden. In a word: trippy. TOKNY got some great snaps of the fanfare along 42nd Street heralding the pop-up's arrival, and frankly we're betting this launch blows Gaultier's relatively low-frills unveiling out of the water.
