Not Even a Police Blockade Will Keep Barneys Sale Shoppers from Shopping

Last night, Racked NY stopped by the Barneys Warehouse sale for an update on the line and the goods, only to find a police blockade and hostage negotiators. Shoppers heading to the sale, however, seemed undeterred by the sirens and blockade on the Seventh Avenue side of 17th Street.

According to Racked NY, folks watching the chaotic scene unfold on Seventh Avenue may have thought someone had completely lost it in the middle of the shoe section at the sale, but it turns out the event was completely unrelated: An "anti-sociable individual" had apparently started throwing bottles off a building, and police had intervened. Of course, the whole situation had calmed down within an hour, and the sale rolled on unaffected.
