According to Vogue UK, Naomi Campbell's press rep confirmed yesterday that the hot-tempered supermodel is in talks to host her own reality TV modeling competition in the mold of X Factor and America's Next Top Model. While the details are as yet undisclosed, word is that Campbell, like Tyra before her, will be the beautiful amazonian shepherdess to a herd of baying, drama-prone amateurs.
It's rumored that Sir Phillip Green (of Topshop fame and fortune) and American Idol's Simon Cowell may be involved in the mysterious new venture (that might even involve Kate Moss), but nothing has been decided. Campbell's spokesperson told Daily Mail: "Naomi has been approached with an offer, which we are talking about and discussing ... but nothing has been set in stone yet." We have to admit that, as far as histrionic celebrity hosts go, we couldn't hope for a finer leading lady for our potential guilty pleasure (because, let's be clear, we would totally watch this if it happened) than the legendary Ms. Campbell.
