Market Watch: Flux Productions at the Brooklyn Flea

When it comes to bags and shoes, most women argue that you can never have enough. And while those two items are exactly what Ryan Greer of Flux Productions specializes in, he contradicts that statement by making such perfectly cool and classic styles, they're quite possibly the only ones you'll ever need.

A Cooper Union grad, Greer started out making limited edition super-soft tees featuring his original prints, and has since expanded his craftsmanship to include Italian leather and wool felt handbags, as well as unique hand-printed designs for quirky-cool oxfords ($120) produced in partnership with Osborn Design Studios.

Greer designs, cuts, and hand sews each bag ($180 to $290) in his Fort Greene studio, most of which are variations on classic styles like the tote, the messenger, and the shoulder bag—and they're unisex too, which does good by our recent menswear-inspired bent this season. The sturdy, fuss-free satchels are covetable for anyone on the go, but don't take our word for it. Greer makes each style in limited quantities of 20—and they go fast—so get going.
