After her Gossip Girl co-star, Blake Lively, landed a campaign for Chanel, Leighton Meester is officially upping her stake in the fashion game by appearing in the Spring 2011 Missoni campaign.
A source recently told E! that the actress wanted to improve her fashion chops and be "high-end like Blake," and this glossy spread will certainly point her in that direction. Meester is not the only face of the Spring 2011 campaign -- she is one of several personalities and "friends" of the Missonis to be featured -- but her photo is certainly memorable.
The complete campaign can currently be seen in all its colorful glory on Vogue Italia, where Angela Missoni explans that she was inspired by the record cover of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. All the photographs are by Juergen Teller, and do a fabulous job of conveying the cheery, carefree Missoni aesthetic for the season.
