Lauren Conrad's budding fashion career has suffered its spits and starts, most memorably a lackluster capsule collection for Kohl's. Finally, the former Hills star seems to have her ducks in a row with a higher-priced contemporary line, Paper Crown.
Girly and trendy, Paper Crown is skewed towards the 15-25 set with flirty basics like leather shorts and ruffled maxi dresses paired with slouchy boyfriend blazers and sheer silk blouses. A summer-ready palette of warm blush, peach and mint green is sure to get Conrad's considerable fan base in the mood for winsome spring days ahead, as are the dainty floral prints that appear on everything from cocktail dresses to itty-bitty mini skirts.
No word yet as to where the line will be carried, but our bets are on big retailers like Nordstrom and Macys, where the line would make sense hanging alongside young contemporary brands like Elizabeth and James.
