Kanye West, Naomi Watts, Gerard Butler to Present at CFDA Awards

The CFDA Awards are typically a serious flashbulb affair for the fashion set, but the star quotient at this year's festivities are shaping up to be more star-studded than usual.

For those unfamiliar with the Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual awards ceremony, the evening is much like the Academy Awards of American fashion, with nominees in the womenswear category this year featuring names like Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, and Alexander Wang.

Anderson Cooper will host this year's awards, and the honorary award recipients are quite a luminous bunch: Marc Jacobs will receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award and Lady Gaga will receive a Fashion Icon award.

One of the most interesting presentations, however, will likely be the otherwise low-key International Award, which will be given to Celine designer Phoebe Philo by none other than Kanye West, according to Page Six. Fans of Mr. West will likely be amused by the connection: One of West's songs includes the lyrics "I'm just a Chi- town [redacted] with a Nas flow and my chick in that new Phoebe Philo."

Rounding out the celebrity presenters are Naomi Watts, who will present the award for Best Womenswear Designer,  and Gerard Butler, who will present the award for Best Menswear Designer.
