Jimmy Choo's Heads Discuss the Brand's Future

On the eve of Jimmy Choo's 15th anniversary, founder and creative director Tamara Mellon and CEO Joshua Schulman discussed the brand's future in an interview with Footwear News.

Having been established as one of the top guns in women's shoes since its 1995 inception, Jimmy Choo amped up its game even more when Schulman came on board three years ago, spearheading new endeavors such as exclusive collaborations with brands like H&M and Hunter Boots. A diffusion line, Jimmy Choo 24:7 brought out the classics and soared above all expectations for its first season this fall. Come spring, the line will expand to include boots and handbags.

Additionally, the brand's upcoming Crystal collection for its main line will hearken back to the beginnings of the label, incorporating Swarovski crystals in new and undoubtedly sparkly ways—fitting, considering the 15th is the crystal anniversary.

This October, Mellon and Schulman will also unveil Jimmy Choo's newest collaboration with UGG. The details of the Choo-ed up shearling boots are being kept on the downlow for now, but judging from Jimmy Choo's track record, it promises to be one kicking collection.

Happy 15th Anniversary Jimmy Choo!
