Swiss fine jewelry designer Orianne Collins plans to open her first U.S. store at 665 Madison (across from Barneys) this September with goods that go way beyond jewelry.
The 3,400-square-foot space marks the designer's first store outside of Switzerland, where she operates four locations, and as the O.C. Concept Store, puts an exciting spin on your run-of-the-mill jewelry shop: in addition to Collins' signature diamond and gemstone baubles, O.C. will carry toys and treasures from TVs and laptops to music, furniture, art and exclusive pieces from other designers. The cherry on top, however, would certainly be the in-house Champagne bar -- a fun stop for the wearied shopper and, we'd imagine, a good business move using a little bubbly to loosen up any purchasing inhibitions.
With Baccarat and Hermes nearby, Orianne Collins comes in as the fresh younger sister to the quite esteemed and opulent neighborhood.
