Jessica Simpson's determined to show off her design and her styling chops these days. The celeb will present the spring 2011 collection for her namesake line from her showroom on September 7, where she'll be styling up best friends Cacee Cobb and sister Ashley in her newest denim pieces.
The invitation indicates a celebration of "the everyday girl" with the pop/reality star (and really, the poster girl for that very persona, we think—at least as far as celebrities go) showing off her newest collection of apparel and accessories. In addition to playing stylist to Cobb (who's also her assistant) and sister Ashley, Simpson also enlisted her brother-in-law Pete Wentz (Ashley's husband) to man the DJ booth.
While Simpson has carefully overseen her popular Jessica Simpson Collection for some time now, the event marks her first Fashion Week-related presence. Alas, the presentation falls adjacent to the massive Fashion's Night Out "The Show" on the calendar, so she'll likely see some quick departures for Lincoln Center.
