Jason Wu Launches Bridal for Net-a-Porter

In what can only be described as a natural progression for his line of sophisticated, feminine ball gowns and party dresses, Jason Wu has now launched bridal, with five exclusive pieces for Net-a-Porter.

Wu's bridal relationship with the e-tailer may be extended beyond this debut collection, WWD reports. The five styles include a traditionally glamorous tiered-tulle gown, a bias-cut ball-length skirt with embroidered tank and belt, an above-the-knee feathered skirt with bow-embellised tank, a short, beaded shift and a silk faille cocktail dress with fitted bodice and full circle skirt.

Wu became a household name when he dressed the newly-minted First Lady Michelle Obama for the Inauguration Ball last year, in a very bridal-like white gown. Foreshadowing, perhaps?
