Hats Meet Art at Yestadt Millinery's Spring 2011 Presentation

Hats, turbans, and headbands certainly made a comeback on the Spring 2011 runways, but some of the most spectacular headgear was actually to be found quite a distance from the tents at Lincoln Center and Milk Studios.

At the Soho Grand, Jane Pincus and Molly Yestadt -- the duo behind of-the-instant hat label Yestadt Millinery -- staged their Spring 2011 presenation at the Soho Grand, where the latest season's hats were carefully perched on a spectacular installation in the middle of the room that reminded us a bit of the Big Bambu exhibit currently on top of the Met.

In fact, the swirling, tangled structure was the result of a collaboration with installation artist Annalilly Charles, and made a perfect frame for the duo's unique brand of headwear -- from sheer floral turbans to masculine straw toppers.

Get a close-up view of some of the latest toppers on Yestadt's video preview.
