Greenpoint's Old Hollywood to Open Outpost at the Limelight

We'll admit, we were skeptical at the news that the Limelight would be turning into a retail marketplace. But with indie boutique Old Hollywood joining the mix, we might be coming around.

Owner Tiffany Porter broke the news that she'd finally nailed down a second outpost for the charming boutique on Old Hollywood's blog, where she's also posted a slew of illustrations featuring what the new Limelight space will look like. According to Porter, the new Limelight "looks like something Tim Burton would have designed," which certainly piques our interest more than the news that her fellow tenants thus far will be LeSportsac, Brocade Home, and Hunter Boots. There will, however, be a JBrand, which is good (if not wholly original) as well as a Grimaldi's Pizzeria outpost, which is pretty brilliant.

Porter, a former buyer for Catbird, has stocked Old Hollywood's Greenpoint outpost at 110 Meserole Avenue with a slew of brilliant vintage dresses, jewelry, and accessories, as well as indie brands like Digby & Iona and Mollie Dash. The new Limelight location, however, will stock new pieces from jewelry designers like Erica Weiner, In God We Trust, Elizabeth Street, and more.

The Limelight Marketplace is set to open April 29, but if you can't wait, you can shop Old Hollywood's wares in Greenpoint or online at shop.oldhollywoodmoxie.com.
