Grand Central Gets Eco-Friendly Pop-Up for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, EcoLux will open a six-day pop-up, April 19-24 in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall.

The 1,600-square-foot temporary space will house an array of eco-friendly luxury items from designers like Samantha Pleet, Redhanded Bags, House of Organic and Dex New York Cosmetics.  With such a strong roster -- Pleet's offerings are enough to snag our interest -- we're anticipating a strong turnout, so it's great news that EcoLux will also return to Soho later this year on Fashion's Night Out. The man behind the pop-up is Eric Dorfman, the founder of the GreenShows, which puts on a series of earth-friendly fashion shows during Fashion Week.

All these green goods in one place at Grand Central will certainly be a highlight for commuters (and might even warrant a special trip to GCT). In fact, with two pop-ups in the works, it'll be interesting to see if EcoLux can sustain itself for good.
