As if one crowd-jammed launch party for Madonna's Material Girl collection wasn't enough, get ready for another doozy. On September 22, Macy's Herald Square location will play host to a second launch event for the tween-focused collection. This time the Material Girl herself will be present, along with co-designing daughter—and the collection's resident blogger—Lourdes (aka Lola) and the brand's spokesmodel Taylor Momsen. A dance performance will also be part of the hooplah, for which auditions are being this Thursday.
According to WWD, the first 150 dancers to show up this Thursday at Broadway Dance Center will have the opportunity to audition in front of three judges including one of Madge's lead dancers, Leroy "Hypnosis" Barnes. 20 semifinalists will be chosen, and then the final 10 will be selected by Madonna herself. Though the pop star—and chameleon-like style icon—won't be present for tomorrow's round of try-outs, we'd still advise that style counts. Sporting something from the Material Girl collection will score you major bonus points, or consider getting into the groove with off-the-shoulder tops and fishnets.
