When eccentric mega-talents combine, the results are often pretty spectacular. Cast in point: Nicola Formichett's debut collection for Thierry Mugler men's, which will now feature an exclusive soundtrack by the star he's styled: Lady Gaga.
Formichetti, who has served as personal stylist to the unusual pop star, asked Gaga to create music for his Paris men's show this Wednesday. Rumor has it that Gaga remixed an unreleased track from her forthcoming album, which won't drop until May, officially making Mugler's one of the most anticipated events of men's fashion week.
We can't think of a better musical backdrop for Formichetti's spikey latex collection (an assessment based on the sneak-preview images popping up on the house's website) than Gaga's infectious pop-electronic beats. Perhaps this is the beginning of the next great fashion/music relationship, the 2011 version of Vivienne Westwood and the Sex Pistols.
