Esprit Opens New Flagship on 34th Street

Aiming to revive the popularity it enjoyed in the 80s and 90s, Esprit is opening a massive flagship on 34th Street tomorrow.  Listen up, because free clothes are involved.

The 18,000-square-foot store features an updated design by the Memphis Group to modernize the brand, which closed in 2002 and was relaunched in 2004, with efforts towards regained success still in effect.  The three-story glass cube of a store will stock the casual and collection lines and the slightly funkier edc, as well as the United States' first selection of the urban line, de.corp.

Besides the snazzy new shop, Esprit will be hosting a promotion called Love it or Leave it, during which the first 50 customers at the store tomorrow at 9am or 5:30pm can score free new outfits (worth $150 or less) and leave their old clothes in the dressing room, for charity.
