Burlesque star Dita von Teese is leveraging her glossy pin-up aesthetic to create a line of lingerie that encompasses all sizes of the spectrum, launching first in Australia this year before expanding to international markets in 2012. The global licensing deal will apparently also include dresses.
“I’m delighted to be in the process of creating both a line of retro-glamorous clothing and lingerie,” von Teese told WWD.
Having cut her teeth on a Europe-exclusive collaboration with Wonderbra, von Teese aims to make functional and attractive undergarments for American women that go from day to night, with a focus especially in larger sizes.
