Diane Kruger Becomes L'Oreal Spokeswoman

Shortly after Lancome's announcement that Julia Roberts will be its new celeb ambassador, L'Oreal revealed today that mega-babe Diane Kruger will join the ranks of Beyonce, Freida Pinto and Penelope Cruz in representing the brand's beauty and haircare collections. First up: an advertising campaign for L'Oreal's newest foundation, Mat'Morphose. After Lancome's recent announcement that they've snapped up Julia Roberts as a spokesperson, it seems the stars are packing the beauty campaigns for next year.

2009 was a good year for Ms. Kruger, who played a 1940's glamour-puss alongside Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino's hit, Inglorious Basterds. Though it has yet to be determined whether Kruger will repesent L'Oreal in the US as well as Europe, International General Manager, Vianney Derville, tells WWD that Ms.Kruger "won [L'Oreal] over with her personality, natural grace and elegance." We hope the flaxen haired beauty makes a few stateside appearances--surely Julia would benefit from a bit of healthy competition!
