Daphne Guinness Will Dress for Met Ball in Barneys Window

Daphne Guinness and Barneys New York are collaborating on a six-week window exhibition, "Fashion as Art", with the heiress and muse kicking off her series of performances with a drama—getting ready for the Met Ball on May 2.

This year's gala theme, "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty", centers on the late designer for whom Guiness served as muse and close friend. A fitting occasion to showcase the dance of getting dressed, by one of fashion's most theatrical players.

According to the Post, the series will also feature a documentary on Guinness, and have items from her legendary wardrobe on display, including selections from the late Isabella Blow's collection, acquired by Guiness after her death.

We'll see you on Madison Avenue.
