Coming Attractions: Daphne Guinness Exhibit at FIT

As New York Fashion Week draws to a close next month, fashion fiends not heading to Europe can get their fix with the exhibition, "Daphne Guinness" at the Museum at FIT.

Running September 16, 2011-January 7, 2012, the show will feature about 100 of Guinness' singular wardrobe items, from accessories masterpieces like sky-high footwear by Alexander McQueen and Phillip Treacy hats, to a collection of couture that spans Azzedine Alaia, Tom Ford, Valentino, Rick Owens, Gareth Pugh and more.

According to a press release, in addition to the spectacular selection of clothing and accessories curated by Guinness and chief museum curator Valerie Steele, the exhibit will feature photography and Guinness' films "The Phenomenology of the Body," "Mnemosyne" and "A Tribute to Alexander McQueen".

Though the exhibition will only run for a limited time, you can score a permanent memento: A book, called simply Daphne Guinness, will accompany the show, with all royalties benefiting the school.
