Last night, Bergdorf Goodman got the Abu Dhabi treatment at HP and Conde Nast's after-party for a special screening of "Sex and the City 2" at the Paris Theater.
While we must, alas, agree with the rather poor reviews for the movie itself (as much as we're lusting after Samantha's glittering harem pants, we were pretty disappointed by the thin plot), the after-party at Bergdorf Goodman was the kind of pure, unadulterated spectacle we were hoping it would be: Middle Eastern food stretched across Bergdorf's glass jewelry tables, colorful draping, and of course endless champagne. We spotted designer Prabal Gurung chatting by the cocktail station, Christian Siriano making a mad dash down the red carpet to the entrance, and Marcus Schenkenberg browsing the food. The most bizarre sighting of the evening, however, had to be watching Courtney Love dash out of the Paris Theater and into a private car outside. Apparently, she also barely made the movie itself, arriving with only minutes to spare.
