Christopher Kane Does Denim with J Brand

On the heels of much popular and critical acclaim -- he recently won the British Fashion Council's 2011 BFC/Vogue Award -- Christopher Kane has announced he'll incorporate a capsule collection in conjunction with J Brand denim into 2012 resort.

Kane first created a limited-edition pair of jeans as part of J Brand's 5 x 5 Project to support emerging British fashion talent in 2010, and will now follow it up with expanded offerings of denim and "other fabrications that J Brand offerings encompass," according to a press release.

The best part is, this is no one-off: J Brand founder and CEO Jeff Rudes said of the collaboration, “We have collaborated with some of the best talent in the world and are delighted to be working with Christopher to build a long term viable denim business with him."

J Brand's most recent other collaborator was the duo behind Proenza Schouler, who created fabulous hand-painted skinnies for the denim label. While certainly chic, they cost a whopping $550 -- no word yet on whether Kane's jeans will be similarly priced.
