Any woman who's obsessed with shoes probably has a special space in her heart for the shoe every little girl waxed rhapsodic about: Cinderella's glass slipper. Now, one of the most iconic shoe designers is joining forces with one of the most iconic shoes, as Christian Louboutin is creating his take on Cinderella's slipper.
WWD reports that the special collaboration is to celebrate Walt Disney's re-release of "Cinderella" on DVD and Blu-ray this summer. As the designer told the daily, "I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world."
Considering Louboutin's existing work, we're betting that the heel on the "slipper" will be considerably higher than the one featured in the 1950s classic -- not that modern Cinderellas will likely object.
