Carven Launches Sunglasses for Spring

Ever since former Givenchy designer Guillaume Henry took the helm at French brand Carven -- a fashion house with a history dating back to 1945 -- the brand has catapulted in popularity with retailers and editors alike.

For Spring 2012, the brand is taking the next step in its evolution by introducing new accessories to add to its small existing shoe collection. Through a partnership with L'Amy Group, WWD reports that Carven will be launching eyewear for the coming season.

The debut collection will reportedly retail between $165 and $235, and was apparently designed with the intention of channeling the look of Paris in the 1950s. In addition to traditional shades like tortoise and black, the collection will also feature electric blue and amber shades.
