Good news for anyone who (like us) found Carey Mulligan's custom Prada dress to be the overall stand-out on the red carpet at Monday's Met Gala, here's some good news: You can buy it!
Mulligan has put the stunning metallic halter dress -- composed of countless individual metal paillettes -- on eBay, where the current bid is $1,025. That said, we wouldn't expect that price to last long -- the auction doesn't end until May 19, which should allow plenty of time for eager bidders to push the price up.
Proceeds from the auction will go to Oxfam America, an organization devoted to finding "lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice." So not only will it be a great-looking dress hanging in anyone's closet, it will also go to a good cause!
The dress is listed as an Italian size 38-40, which translates to about an American size 2-4, so only petite ladies need apply -- at least, if one plans on actually wearing it. (We might be willing to just look at it every now and again.)
