It's been more than a decade since Nina Persson begged to be loved with her band, the Cardigans, but we're guessing she wants the same for her collaboration with Swedish fashion brand Hope, launching exclusively atthe hotel's boutique Project No. 8 and La Garconne.
The '30s-inspired fall collection will comprise 10 looks of fox-collar coats, dresses, blouses and knit cardigans. And lucky for us, New York's Project No. 8 will be the exclusive source for the line in the flesh, while they'll also have an online home at La Garconne.
Persson feted the line with Hope designer Anne Ringstrand at the Ace Hotel, quick to point out with humility that she is not to be considered a designer because of this project, “that’s why we emphasize that they are my creative ideas but her brand,” she explained to WWD. “For me, it’s a lot like my music collaborations. I’m just taking my music to a new place.”
