On Friday, the West Village welcomed it's sixth Marc Jacobs outpost, Bookmarc, to 400 Bleeker Street in the former Biography Bookshop space.
As reported in WWD, merchandise focuses heavily on art and photography books and branded school supplies, including mini colored pencils, notebooks, tote bags, and Sharpies.
Racked NY's opening day photo gallery captures some of the fun. We chuckled at pics of blank notebooks faux-titled with cheeky takes on classic novels, including As I Lay Tanning and Breakfast at Bleeker. (There are a few others, but we can't print them here.)
Also slated for the new shop's shelves this season: A reportedly steamy photo tome, The Men and Women of Marc Jacobs, featuring MJ store associates shot by Brian Bowen Smith.
The store fills the niche for cheap goodies now that the Marc by Marc Jacobs Accessories boutique at 385 Bleeker has morphed into a Marc Jacobs Collection Accessories showcase, starting today.
