Olsenboye's Fall Collection Crosses the Pond

Call it a sartorial re-telling of the Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley—only without the singing twins.

The designing twosome recently announced their Fall 2010 collection for Olsenboye, their budget-friendly collaborative collection with JC Penney, with a rather adorable sneak-peek video starring a trio of carefree and gangly teens cavorting around London.

Encapsulating the savvy, sometimes quirky style of London's fashionable teens, the mini films are in the same vein of Olsenboye's previous "street-style" videos shot in Los Angeles and New York (watch them here on the Olsenboye website). Check out this one, set in Trafalgar Square, with two more set to debut in the next few weeks.

Despite the cute video, we have to admit that we're a little disappointed in the clothes themselves. Given the twins' recent CFDA memberships and their other, albeit higher-priced, lines The Row and Elizabeth & James, we know what kinds of stellar wares Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are capable of turning out as designers. While one can appreciate the affordability of Olsenboye's offerings, as a fashion-forward collection for the tween set, it doesn't quite make the cut.
