Three MFA students are currently adorning the KedsWhitney windows at Bloomingdales', in a partnership that includes the Jenny Holzer collection and computers available for passersby to custom-create their own Keds.
As part of the Whitney Museum's ongoing collaboration with Keds, the flagship Bloomie's will devote three of its Lexington Avenue windows to the artist Jenny Holzer's limited-edition shoes alongside the work of three up-and-coming MFA students, Jee Young Choi, Firelei Baez and Erica Greenwald. The artwork serves as a backdrop to the touch-screen customization computers set up on the street, where anyone can create their own unique pair of Keds (after finalizing your design, you'll be emailed a link to buy the shoes online).
yet another cool marriage between art and fashion, this particular installation gives a whole new meaning to the term "window shopping."
