Saks gets set to present its newly transformed 61,000-square-foot designer bazaar September 9. The enclave of fantasy fashion will include a Louis Vuitton North America exclusive, YSL's replica of the Rive Gauche store and newcomers Zac Posen, Derek Lam, Doo.Ri and others to the club.
Perhaps the finest shopping mall experience to ever grace (a tiny percentage of) the public, Saks' new designer floor features 22 uniquely designed shops and an 18-suite Saks Fifth Avenue Club, kitchen and VIP room. The new space was completed after much back-and-forth with vendors of the 49 designer labels represented, and after dropping close to $30 million on new construction, the venerable department store is hoping to woo its most discerning customers towards higher spending in their new designer mecca.
